From telephone consultations to personal visits, Lovewell has a service which will be right for you.
Choosing the right care for yourself or a family member can be a difficult and overwhelming task. You may have noticed that keeping on top of healthy eating, medications, exercise, or buying groceries has become a struggle, or physical challenges like climbing the stairs or getting dressed in the morning are increasingly problematic.
At Lovewell Care Consultancy we are often asked about available care options and the differences between them, in particular the differences between care homes and care at home. To help you make an informed decision, this article examines the qualities of care at home and care home environments.
Care home or care at home: What is the difference?
Care home vs care at home? Let’s begin with care at home as this can often be the first step in a person’s care journey, enabling them to live safely in the
comfort of their own home for as long as possible. A domiciliary care agency can provide regular visits to an agreed daily or weekly schedule. Some agencies provide overnight care and live-in care

Care & Guidance Options
Telephone discussion, general advice service, visit at home, accompany Service

Care guidance
Telephone discussion and general advice service
£95.00
A Lovewell adviser will call you at a pre-arranged time to discuss your situation. They will listen to your concerns and discuss any difficulties you may have regarding care. They will then send you relevant information which will act as a useful first step in helping you resolve your care issues and research appropriate care.

Care search
Telephone consultation, care advice and care search.
£195.00
Book a telephone consultation with a Lovewell adviser for a time convenient to you. Your adviser will listen to your needs and wishes and will discuss your situation in detail. They will then use Lovewell’s extensive knowledge of care providers to send you a report on the most ideal services. This might be a shortlist of home care providers or vacancies in residential homes, with costs and inspection reports. Your care adviser will remain available for further follow up, advice and reporting, until you have found the best answer.

Care visit and search.
Home visit, care advice and care search
£395.00
Book a meeting with a Lovewell adviser at a location and time convenient to you. Families usually prefer this when the person requiring care is more able to take an active part in planning their own care. This meeting can often help unlock latest ideas and resolve any different views that a family may have. Following the discussion, your Care Adviser will use Lovewell’s extensive knowledge of care providers to send you a report on the most ideal services, as for the Lovewell Search service, and will remain available for further follow up, advice and reporting, until you have found the best answer.

Care visit and accompaniment.
Visit, Care Advice and Care Search plus personalised vetting of suitable vacancies.
£895.00
This service incorporates the complete range of Lovewell services described above with the additional benefit of accompanied visits to view care homes or interview home carers. This service is particularly helpful to clients who feel reassured by the presence of an experienced Care Adviser when meeting care providers. It is also especially useful for busy clients who have difficulty finding time to view all the options or for people returning from abroad.
Regardless of the service you choose you will receive a written report outlining the discussion points and details of the services that fit with your support needs as per our discussion. We evaluate the pros and cons for you, whilst leaving the final choice of home care or residential care your own. We will also arrange to accompany you when visiting a residential home so that you can be sure that your questions are answered and that you get a tour of the home, including the kitchen, so that you have the experience and knowlege to make decisions and choices. For Home care we can arrange to be with you when a care assessment by a care agency has been arranged, just to provide that little extra support and check that your questions are answered, again to be sure you have the information you need to make decisions and choices that suit your needs.
